At 47 you should already have heard of self-fulfilling prophecy. Now that is something that can become reality, but the "premonitions" of a 7 or 8 year old are nothing to hang your hat on. Most likely your family was talking too much in front of you about someone's death or you watched a show about it and it troubled you.
We all must face death, but most of us have no idea when until a doctor tells us. In any case, death is nothing to fear if you have Jesus in your heart. It is just a sweet passing into a beautiful spiritual Kingdom with no more pain. I suggest you surrender to the Holy Spirit when He urges you to receive Jesus as your Savior.
You may not have 5 minutes left on the earth or you may live to 105. It's not something we can know. Re focus your thoughts to living the best life you can. Breathe in God's gift of life and share that with your loved ones, your friends, and those less fortunate than youself. You can't do these wonderful things if you think about your death all the time. I pray you will seek Jesus and live your live for Him. May He pour His peace in you and bless you.

I believe in premonitions - I've had them myself and they can be kinda scary sometimes. Maybe it was just a warning that if you don't take care of yourself chances are you will die sooner rather than later.
I don't think you will die at 54 but if you are always thinking that you will chances are it'll happen. So instead of worrying about dying in the next 7 years focus on living a healthy/full life.
As a child my fiance had some serious anxiety problems because he was always thinking about 'what happens when I die?' It took him a long time to get past this and as a result of all that he is a self-proclaimed atheist, I guess he just accepted that there wouldn't be anything after this life. I, however, believe there is more. I don't know for certain but I'd rather live knowing that this isn't it, that there's purpose for the life I have now.
It should motivate you to live your life to the fullest potential.

Nope, that just meant you as a little girl had no understanding. Even if you have no faith you will not find that you disappear into ?? what ever it is that Atheists think you disappear into. Energy cannot just be extinguished into nothing you may change it and refine it but you cannot just make it disappear. Your thoughts are energy thus you have a spirit. That spirit cannot be seen by eyes and the only way we have to measure it is a body that it resides in however when you burn wood it releases heat, in the same manner when we die it releases the spirit. We are going to be changed but it is not going to be into nothing it will be into a Paradise or hell depending on your earthly works, Heaven or eternal hell are after the judgment, which will take place later. Thus I know no matter what you thought or dreamed it came not from God so I highly suspect you will not die at the age of 54, and if you do it was chance not Divine intervention causing your death. If you wish to know more about life and the meaning of it feel free to look back at some of my answers or contact me for more information.

I don't know that you will die at 54. I have known people that did know when they were going to die. Did they will themselves to do so? was it a premonition? I do know there will be something after, so I wouldn't worry. None of us knows that we will draw our next breath, for certain. All we can do is live the life that is allotted.

Sometimes a fear can grip us so tightly that it is hard to shake it loose. That fear can manifest itself and take-on a life of its own until we truly believe it to be real.
Even scientists have theorized that there is more than our "reality". It is the string theory. There is more to life and our existence than any man can fully understand. There are limits to our brain power.
I for one believe that the Spirit that lay within lives-on when our physical being dissolves.
I hope that you have found some help in my reply. Blessings.

I thought for sure I was going to die in my first car.
It was a 1972 Plymouth Gold Duster.
It was a piece of junk.
I thought for sure I was going to die in that thing.
But, I'm still here.
As for what is after: if there is nothing, you will not know.
If there is something....then all will be well, hopefully.

I don't believe in premonitions like that. Let us know if you get diagnosed with something dire in seven years. If you get hit by a truck, I guess we are out of luck.
I think you'll be fine.

When I got my first Palm pilot, I investigated the calendar function. I went back through the months, and Woah!---the very earliest month in the calendar was the month of my birth, October 1953. So I went the other way, and the last month the calendar could display was April 2039. Do you think that's it for me?

Don't worry about it. Spend every day of your life, whether it's 7 years or 70, being altruistic, wise, and compassionate. Worrying about anything else is a waste of time.

I believe that if you continue to think about, stress over, obsess over, and overly focus upon it, you could make yourself die at 54...
