It will say in the instructions how long it takes to become waterproof, but it will be at least 24 hours, because that's how long it takes for the stuff to spread through the skin. You also can't bathe at least 48 hours before treatment because if you wash the natural oils of the skin off the stuff can't work.

You should really not bathe cats and dogs after any kind of topical flea treatment. Many shampoos will cause them to be ineffective. If you have a shampoo that your vet has said that wouldnt do this, i would atleast wait 1 or 2 wks if i could.

I'm not familiar with that brand. With Frontline, you have to wait 72 hours. It needs the oil on the skin to be effective
