Precisely what I want to know. And after I find that out, I want to know who said "they" could go around doing the things "they" do.

THEY is a word used to represent what lot of people think. They say that people use to think the world was flat, might be a statment someone might use. Often, this is used as a word to connote expertise of some form. You might have to ask your question quite often, when people use this vague word to tell you something.

THEY are the ones who are not US. If you are not with US, then you are with THEM, which is to say that THEY are the ones with whom you associate if you are not associating with US.
It is THEY who take the joy from your life by telling you that your face will freeze like that if you don't cut it out, or that you should measure twice and cut once, rather than measure once and cut twice. WE, that is those of us who are US as opposed to THEY, would never think of telling you how many times you should measure or cut. It's your time and material, you should do as you choose. And who are THEY to say how your face should look? I think it would be kinda cool to have my face freeze like that.

the word "they" appears in the KJV 7377 times. So "they "could be a lot of different people.
Most likely "they" does not include "yourself"
