In the bible, God states that the purpose we are on the earth is to bring others to him. That is why we do not go immediately up to heaven after we accept him as our lord and savior

There really only two answers (in my opinion) depending on how a person believe.
First is religious, to find God or the Higher Power and develop a relationship with God.
Second is evolution, no real purpose other than maybe surviving. We evolved and we will die. It not like we were created for any real reason, but, only to exist because we evolved from the primordial food chain and strive to be at the top of the list.
Regardless of how we believe. We can have individual/personal purpose. We can help people or hurt people.

Do you believe that you came from an animal? is so why do you have a reason to be on earth? why do you study, why do you work hard? why you want to be happy and not sad? why are you more donimate than the other living things on the earth?... so if we had no reason... because we are animals... so why should i follow law if there is no reason... so would that give me the right to kill someone because no one has a reason? -
i believe everyone has a reason and God is the one who gives life. God loves you, and the theory that we came from monkeys is just to blind people from the fact that we have a mission and we are here for a reason.
We need matter in order for things to excite. Matter is substance: that which has mass and occupies space; "an atom is the smallest indivisible unit of matter"
Scientist say that the "BIG BANG" came from nothing... how could everything be create if there was nothing... no substance??? It’s impossible.
I believe there was always something, and i believe that is God.

My personal thought is that we all have our own purpose in life one that we chose before we came here to earth ...to be a complete spirit we come and go until we have reached the point where we have existed in many different life experiences and learned the true meaning of them or feeling that comes out of them as we go through these journeys our spirit becomes more enriched and etched with the journeys meaning and discovery ..we are not ready to be at the top level of understanding life until all experiences have been understood and learned from...But that is just my opinion.

The Hokey Pokey notwithstanding ;-) , the purpose of life is to love and serve God and people. This life is, I believe, preparatory to our eternal life. Finding my personal mission is the challenge. Answering the question, "What is *my* purpose of life / living?" is foundational to designing a meaningful and fulfilling life. One minister said, "Your every day actions are writing your resume for eternity."

To fellowship with your Creator.
Fellowship was lost due to sin. The sin issue could not be dealt with by good works, traditions, or rituals. The wages of sin is death. A loophole was created by God that a substitute death could be used, hence the Levitical system of sacrifice, a picture of what was to come. God came down in the form of man, to live, and die in our place to re-establish our lost fellowship. This event tore the veil in the Temple to announce that the wall of separation between man and God was over. All we need do is come to Christ for the cleansing of sins and obtain the once-lost fellowship.
Why are we here? - For God to obtain a people, who by free will choice, choose Him without seeing Him. Who trust in Him when all the world trusts themselves.

The purpose of life is to make more life, as in distribute DNA.
As to the philosophical purpose, you're on your own. You have to determine that for yourself.
