I find nothing cute about this. My great big male will occasionally do this to me, especially if I have my hair in a ponytail. But--he only does it if he's (for some un-known reason) in "attack" mode. Then, I have to squirt him with the water bottle. He's actually had my head and cheek bleeding. I wouldn't encourage this behavior if I were you. It may be cute now while they're kittens, but believe me--it is NOT cute when they are full grown cats--it's lethal!

my kitten 26 weeks old i think now will curl up round my head and pad and chew my hair which hurts he has needle like claws so is very painful we are doing our best to discourage him but as my cats love water squrting water doesn't work. we have found blowing in his face does make him move away and stops. his mother cat has to do this when she doesn't want to play but his father cat lets him get away with everything including chewing and padding his tail (no sense no feeling) you really do need to discourage this my adult tom cat weighs in at 8kgs and is all muscle so if he did this i think i would have no hair left. all my cats love the fleecy material which they can kill and pad all the want so we keep a piece handy at all times so if he wants to chew and pad my head/hair he gets that given to him and this works most of the time and if it doesn't i blow gently in his face till he backs off.

Kittens don't seem to want to play with my hair. But I did have a grown kitty once try to grab my pony tail. It was sitting behind me on a chair. I thought it was funny myself.

my kitty will lick my hair when its wet.. i had very short hair for a awhile and if i showered before bed i'd wake up with all my hair sticking up with kitty spit. gross, but wicked cute.
when she was a kitten she'd snuggle up right into my hair.. i thought she was just trying to get under my neck and to the other side, so i'd put her on the other side, and she'd just go right for my hair.. it was sweet.. and painful with the little kitten claws, but i clipped her claws often

Several of my kitties did this, but the most comical one was my mixed siamese. She got a taste for hair spray and any woman that sat in our living room got their hair sniffed and occassionally washed by her. Most of my friends were amused but it really freaked out my mother-in-law so I usually rescued her.

my cat, Churby Dean used to do it all the time, he has since passed :"( but every night he would come into bed lay on my pillow and "play" w/ my hair. he used to hurt me because he would get so into it he would scratch and poke my head and i used to get a little annoyed but i could live w/ it if i could have him back.
