As a tall guy, I prefer shorter girls. That's not to say it really matters in the end, but as I like to say, short girls get extra points because short is cute.

currently I prefer petite girls. But that's because I'm 5'3" Although I still really like tall girls heh.

Either is fine. Short or tall, either can be just as fine to me.
