What you're best to do is get the basic Sky package so you will at least get Sky One as well as the Freeview channels (ITV2, E4, etc). Cancel outright and you'll be left with nothing.

Not as far as I know - my inlaws cancelled their subscription so that they wouldn't have any monthly fees, and they didn't even get the basic Freeview digital channels, like E4 or ITV2...

you wont get Sky One. You get Sky 3 though. You dont get E4 which is actually a freeview channel. I dont know why you dont get it on the sky box. You dont get More4 either. Other than that, you get the normal freeview channels.

doh, of course you won't get Sky one if you don't pay for it, you will need a freeview box to get the freeview digital channels, to access the digital channels at the moment you are using sky equipment, dish etc, if you don't pay for the basic package you won't get any channels only the terrestrial analogue ones through your television, personally I think Sky is a major rip off but if you want it that bad you gotta pay for it!
