I'm 28 and I do my part around the house like cutting the grass or odd jobs. I'm looking for work but the economy is slow right now so I'm just waiting for the job market to get better.

If you are old enough to be having sex regularly--and you ARE--then you're old enough to be WORKING and paying for your OWN PLACE!! Your mother is REALLY doing you a DISSERVICE by letting you live at home and NOT WORK!! She is fostering the development of a bum instead of a MAN! BE the MAN that you can become, get any job you can get NOW! Save your money and get an apartment of your OWN! STAY with that job; build up a resume; and build on that to get better and better jobs!---OR, go on the way you're going and STAY a KID for life! I hope you DON"T--but if you do, your mother has the right to set limits on you in her house.

I think its time roll on..go to your g/f's house for a change..if your waiting for the economy to get better you may be waiting awhile..in the meantime find a job doing something..cutting the grass for your mom doesnt pay the bills or put food on the table...good luck

You stayed living with your mom for this long, I couldn't stand it. I left my parents house when I was 19, feels so much better to have your own space then to hear complaints all the time.

YES! Move out!

You're an adult. Hopefully your girlfriend is also an adult. You should be able to do what you want. But when you are living in someone else's house, you have to follow house rules. If you want things your way, get your own place.
