Buy whey protein powder it is less expensive then shakes and comes in a bunch of flavors. Mix with water or milk(milk tastes better) and it does the trick!

Be careful when drinking protein shakes you buy over the counter, most will actually cause weight gain. Protein is good for muscle building, the protein shakes you were drinking before must have had some over ingredients that were for weight loss. Find out what the exact ingredients were and look for protein shakes that are made similar.

We have a place called “the Vitamin Shoppe” here and they have a tub protein that they make that is very tasty (I hate the way the others taste) they have a chocolate, vanilla and I think a strawberry. Anyway, grab the big ol tub and make your own at home - it literally takes a min to put everything together in the blender (in the Magic Bullet it takes less time). Toss some non-fat plain yogurt some frozen berries and some milk or fiber enriched O.J. and you are set. Its way cheaper and you can make it to your own taste that day. Maybe you like more berries, maybe you like more yogurt, whatever makes you happy and then you make it to your taste. Its not gritty like some of the protein powders are. I you want to grab a couple of pre-made shakes for on the run then look at the “Muscle-Milk light” shakes. They have a TON of protein and less fat and sugar but still taste pretty good. They even make a “Mighty-kid” shake for the kiddies that don’t get enough protein in their diet. Give em a try, bet you like them. I am EXTREMELY picky and I even get them down :)

What brands.... Not a one.
High protein shakes come in all sizes and varieties. MANY styles of such shakes out there. Some of them are actually used for cancer patients, and are specifically designed to increase your appetite while providing a rich, rich mixture of nutrients and vits.
Go to the drug store and look at the weight loss section and see if they have a high protein shake on the shelves. Some of those guys actually work.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Just go to the local health food store or gnc and ask them to show you what the got...there are a ton...I take Genix protein complete (I think that's the name) right before bedtime when I either worked out that morning or am going to the next morning...
