Some Mexican charities qualify for the US tax deduction for charitable contributions. Ask them, or contact the IRS and ask the IRS.

You can only deduct contributions to recognized US charities. This could include a US charity whose major project is in another country. For example, I make deductible contributions to a US charity that operates an orphanage in Mexico.

It can if the Mexican charity has 501(c)3 status with the US IRS.

Contact the IRS. They would have an approved list.
