There is only one thing to do............kill her.

Go to her, ask her to forgive you for anything you have done that has offended her, ask her why she spreads stories about you, and ask her to stop. If she continues after that, avoid her, refuse to listen when her stories are repeated to you by other people, ask them why they allow the mother-in-law to tell them that stuff and mind your own business. Let your wife deal with her mother, visit her mother, speak to her mother as she sees fit, but you avoid her. That will give her less ammunition to use against you. She is trying to control her daughter, your wife. She wants your wife to leave you and is manipulating the people around her to gang up against you. The Bible calls this a "faction" and it is evil. Avoid her. Your wife will have some tough decisions to make about how much of it she is going to put up with.

How does your wife feel about this? Do you have children, the mother-in-law's grandchildren? These are two things to consider. How would your wife react if you told your mother-in-law that if she continues to spread false rumors about you and your family, you will sue her for slander, and do it.

Ignore her. Your wife should go to bat for you to make it stop.

Ignore her, respect her from a distance. She obviously has some issues... You are not married to her, you are married to her child... God bless****
