I would like to see fundies actually practice what they preach---I see Dog the Bounty Hunter stand around with his people and do the "in Jesus name this, and in Jesus name that" and then go out there and every other word out of their mouth is bleeped out because it is not fit to put on T.V.---This is the fundamental mindset. This is why Jesus said---on that day many will come to me and say Lord, Lord, and I will say "away from me you evil doers because I do not know you"

Why do Secular humanist Darwinist-fun dies feel a need to have their beliefs validated by imposing their beliefs on others? see it works both ways.

You have taken prayer out of school and we are supposed to accept it.

You want to take the Ten Commandments from all public building and we are supposed to accept it.

You want to take the words 'Under God" from the pledge of Allegiance and we are supposed to accept it.

You want to take the words "In God we trust" from all Currency and we are supposed to accept it.

You want to make the Bible Illegal and classify it as a hate literature denying the right of free speech and we are supposed to accept it.

You know..I can go on,

NOW WHO is imposing what ? On Whom ?

Does not look that way to me.

When Christians lack faith God will strengthen their faith by his word.

1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

We are living in a time in history when division, war, intolerance, hatred, self-righteousness, self-serving arrogance and political fascism, American Imperialism and governmental incompetence has totally infected the society we all once grew up to love and respect. We no longer love it or respect it. Christians and other fundies and fanatics are just the tip of the iceberg. We are not in a society that is intolerant BECAUSE of religion, we are in an intolerant society in which religion is the EFFECT of intolerance, dysfunction and apathy.

It isn't about validating your belief, its about following directions. Several passages in both the Bible and Koran speak about spreading the belief system to others.

It isn't about insecurity, because the insecure don't go door to door. They sit in the church and listen to the preacher make a sermon directed to them, and ignore it.

Those in touch with reality understand the need to believe in SOMETHING, whether its reincarnation (as a justification), a higher power (why we are here) or an afterlife (a judgement).

Oh my goodness, dear. Just because we try to pass laws to bless you with our beliefs doesn't mean we are imposing them on you. We do it for your own good.
Here, have a piece of pie.

Actually the same thing can be said about all beliefs, including your precious catholicism. Why else do you think the genocidal Vatican murdered so many people?

Unlike catholics, true Christians want people to hear the truth of the Gospel and be saved from eternal hell. It has nothing to do with validation, for, if there were only five saved people on earth, Jesus would still have agreed to do what He did for us.
