I would say it is a cockapoo. It really looks alot like a shitzu. The breeder who told you she is a cockapoo is she the person you got the dog from? If she is then she should know what kind of dog she is. The two kinds really look similiar, google the two breeds and look at the images.

I would say that it is a cockapoo. My cousin has one and it looks like that. Hes much bigger than the breeder said he would be. She has the curly hair thing going on from the poodle side. Shitzus have more straighter hair I believe. By the way shes cute!

It looks like a parti mix cockapoo to me! Shipoo would have more of the smashed in face like Pekingese.Parti Poodles have more than 1 color! It is cute! They call them Designer dogs now! Breed for non shedding,ect! It will probably be a great pet, if you train it well while it is young! really does not matter what it is, love it have it spayed/neutered,and take good care of the little one!

I'd say it is a cockapoo.... Probably is it has half characteristics of a poodle and half a cocker spaniel, so it's a mere mixbreed.
Most of the "designer breeds," are half and half, and do not share a solid characteristic. That takes work... besides breeding two different purebred dogs- that creats a mix breed not a new breed....
Either ways it's a cute dog.

I would say this is a cockapoo but, as Abstrax mentioned, it could be a havanese (they are very close to a bichon frisee). One thing is for certain: this dog is a real cutie, and something tells me that you and the pup are going to be great friends. Good luck.

I think cockerpoo is right. It's hard to tell though as she's laying down so you can't see the stance well. Does she have the underbite of a shih-tzu? Her face isn't shih-tzu and the ears don't look shih-tzu or the eyes and the hair isn't the silky kind so unless she has a defined underbite and/or the shih-tzu stance, I would stick with cockerpoo.
