When I make Mac and Cheese I cut up some Kielbasa and mix it right in, then it is the main dish!

MAC AND CHEESE WITH SAUSAGE TOPPING
2 c. or 8 oz. elbow macaroni
1 lb. pork sausage
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
About 3/4 lb. cheese
Cook macaroni. Brown sausage. Add onion and green pepper. Cook about 10 minutes. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute. Add milk and cook until bubbly and thick. Layer mac and cheese in LARGE casserole. Top with sausage mixture. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
MAC SAUSAGE AND BROCCOLI BAKE
1 (7 1/4 oz.) pkg. Kraft macaroni and cheese dinner
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli spears, thawed and drained
1 lb. smoked sausage, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 (10 oz.) can condensed cream of celery or mushroom soup
1/4 c. green onion slices
Prepare macaroni as directed on package. Cut broccoli into 1 inch pieces. Add remaining ingredients to dinner. Mix well. Spoon into 2 quart casserole. Bake covered at 350 degrees, 45 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Serves 6-8. Microwave - prepare as directed, heat on high 8 minutes turning every 4 minutes.

Mac and cheese is my favorite because you can eat it with almost everything. It goes good with:
fried chicken
bbq chicken
chopped steak
ham
meatloaf
fried pork chops
baked pork tenderloin
etc, the list goes on and on

Ha ha I love macaroni and cheese and the best part is it goes with everything. I know I love Bar b que chicken with Mac and cheese. It is delicious.
