I've been singing professionally since I was 7 and this is what I've learnt.
Stay away from juices/dairy.
This produces saliva which thickens into phlegm which is NOT what you want when singing.
It's best to not eat and hour before singing as this can reduce the production of saliva making your throat dry which is another thing you don't want!
Something to soothe your throat would be this :
It sounds real gross but it tastes of nothing and is really really good for your throat.
Heat up enough vaseline for a third of a cup. Add some sugar if you like. Then pour over boiling hot water.
This lubricates for throat and your voicebox.
My mum made me drink it before I sang at my film's premiere (Don't worry, I'm not famous...it was just a political film I was in) and it helped.
Good luck with whatever you're singing!!!

I absolutely love Traditional Medicinals Throat Coat Tea. This tea has a rich, earthy flavor, and the immediate soothing effect is so satisfying! It has a licorice-y taste and is a bit on the thick side, but with 2 teaspoons of honey it is positively delicious. It's available at most GNC stores, and costs less than $4 for a box of 16 tea bags

try making some ginger tea (salabat). that is what Filipino singers use to soothe their voices before singing. Here's what you do: get about an inch long piece of ginger, remove skin/outer layer, cut into smaller pieces, add to about 1 1/2 cups water, boil for about 5 minutes. let cool a bit, then drink as tea.

Sounds to me like she has her days and nights puzzled. perhaps try in the process the day to make confident the home is mild. make certain which you do set up a solid ordinary in the past mattress each and every evening. And while she has slept at evening time, while its daybreak and time for her to awaken back, say "solid morning" to her. I did this with my son and he's a dream.
