Hush my mouth! Dr. Zapp! Congratulations for him, and I think every accomplishment should be shared with family and friends. Presents, money, the works! But the breaking of bread together is a fine way to give everyone a chance to really visit, and offer personal acknowledgment of the hard work that went into achieving their goal! Yeahhhh!

Why spiritually speaking? We have the spiritual world and the natural world. It is natural to have a graduation, so why would one have a "spiritual" celebration? You could just naturally celebrate, that makes sense.

By celebrating with them, congratulating them on their achievement, and giving them a meaningful gift, either cash and/or a memorable keepsake. My eldest daughter received cash towards their house payments and birth of our first grandchild (This coincided with her doctorate). For my son-in-law's Master of Fine Arts degree I passed on to him my collection of regimental WW I steins with lithopane bottoms (pictures in the porcelain the light shines through). My second daughter will get my "tattlers"(musical steins that play drinking songs when lifted) when she completes her degree. That way these will be enjoyed and eventually passed on to grandchildren, increasing in value. My nephews, nieces and their spouses receive cash gifts to help with paying off their college loans (Some also receiving heirloom Hummels from our collection, or Royal Dolton figurines, appropriate to the event) We also danced at their Weddings. Friends of mine also received other things like a small Satsuma Buddha I treasured through numerous moves and stages of my life, or hand made prayer beads or quilts, with meaningful symbols. With these they received cards with our sentiments and prayers. Life is a celebration!!! : ^D)))

I attend the graduation and congratulate them on attaining one of their goals. Then I wish them well on getting to the other things they want to do.

You can pray or gather together an internal wish for them to get very good spiritual guidance at their next fork in the road - so they will choose their next path wisely. Also, friendly encouragement is always appreciated!

graduation is not a spiritual event in my book. So I don't celebrate it spiritually.
