Why would Christ permit his Church (the dignity of the individual human being) to be hijacked by Constantine and these incompetents? Why would he allow Monica Lewinsky, the Clintons, Gore, Bill Daley (Gore's campaign manager in 2000) and the Supreme Court to create the Iraq fiasco?

As individual human beings we have the freedom of choice.
Christ/God is not going to stop us from following the paths we create for ourselves.
Whatever religion that is studied comes from books that have been Written by Men, not Christ/God. We cannot change how we where raised to worship. It makes us all 'innocents'.

These books require War. They teach their followers to go to War. These books say that if we sin throughout our life all we have to do is ask for forgiveness and we will be forgiven.

Constantine created his book (Bible) in an effort to unite his people. To stop the Pagan/Christian Wars.
Hitler saved Germany from starving to death by creating his army and destroying others. Among other reasons we will not address here.
As far as the idiocy of the US Government ??????????????
Hell look at the Pope's through the years. They live in Mass Riches, but they do not contribute to the starving children. More people die each year due to starvation and it's effects than in any War.

If you read the very first chapter of the Bible you will find the answers. As soon as God created man, he told man to take control of running the earth. While God is the owner, man is the steward who handles much of the day to day affairs.

Those things happened because the people involved let them happen or made decisions to do them. And because the church was not doing its duty, which is to pray that God's kingdom come and God's will be done on earth. (If it was just automatic, why would we need to pray that?)

If those kind of things (which the Bible calls "sin") were NOT happeneing, then Christ would not exist. Without sin, there would be no need for a Savior. The existence of sin is one of the strongest agruments for Christ.

What you forget is God gave man dominion over this earth. Man is a sinner and sin creates fiascos. Man chose sin over righteousness in the Garden of Eden. To choose Christ is to choose righteousness, but the only righteousness in you then, will still only be Christ. We are all sinners and it is only by the grace of God that we can be reconnected to Him by way of His Son Jesus Christ.

All the people that you have mentioned are sinners and imperfect human beings. There are no perfect people.

Christ didn't permit sin; we chose sin and we are living with the consequences of it.

I suppose the answer lies in your Permanent Record.

If your parents, who have significant authority over you as a child, exist, then how do you explain that detention you had to serve in 8th grade? Is the fact that you did things you shouldn't have done some kind of reasonable proof that your parents don't exist? Of course not. No thinking human being would even suggest such a thing. They taught you that it was wrong to do certain things, but you did them anyway. It's no reflection on their existence, and not even a serious indication of their level of affection for you or their ability to raise children. It is, rather, an indication of the rebellious nature of people in general.

Your next argument will probably be a reference to God's omnipotence, and that He should not allow evil on this world. My counter will be God's willingness to allow humanity to exercise free will. Your riposte will be that a compassionate God would not allow humans to commit such profound evil upon their fellow humans. My response will be to point out that God apparently respects the right of the individual to choose his or her own destiny, so much so that He will allow a person to choose damnation rather than force Paradise on them. You will say that you can't believe that God would allow that. I will respond that you clearly haven't met Him. You will say that you can't imagine anyone wanting to believe in a God that would allow people to choose damnation rather than forcing Paradise on them. I will respond that I can't imagine serving a God that would try to force people to worship him, or one that would just destroy people who will not follow Him.

You will then do one of two things: You will either continue to reject God, or you will begin to consider God and seek Him out. If it is the former, we will hopefully cross paths again. If it is the latter, we will assuredly cross paths again.

God has a plan, and if it does not effect the plan, he may not do anything about what is going on. He really did give free will, and He lets you live with the decisions you make unless you appeal to Him to change things, and then you must give your will over to His will.

I once had free will, but now I am a bondservant to Christ.

Though the things and people you cite are not the optimal choices, God allows them because He gave man the ability to make his own choices. Nice job we have done, eh?
But in the end, God allows them to reveal to each of us personally our profound and utter need for a Savior.

God gave us all free will, He uses the mistakes made for his good... so the powerful people can mess up but God follows through with his grace and mercy to salvage that and those who are to be saved!

We were created with a freewill. God does not dictate our lives; we can choose to follow Christ, or be sinful and follow Satan. Your list can go on and on.....all from human freewill. God doesn't force us to accept or reject Him, we choose!

God doesn't micromanage-'nuff said.

However, as for the control, He is in control, as the world is a stage and He is easily guiding us to His final act.
Extremely Easily....
