I am a Christian.
Why did I choose Christianity? Long story. To make it short, I chose it because it makes sense to me.
I believe God created the universe, the Earth, and life itself. I believe Jesus Christ is the ONLY begotten Son of God, that He was crucified for our sins, and that He was resurrected on the third day after that. I believe that some day He will return. I believe the testimony of the apostles, and their apostles.
And I believe in love.

I'm LDS. Someone already mentioned the church's website, so I won't put it again, but I will give you what we call Articles of Faith. They are basics of our beliefs in a nutshell.
Oh.. why I chose it. I was born LDS, but later in life, I decided I wanted to go my own way, and not believe the same things as my parents did. Maybe it was rebellion, maybe it was just me needing to really know what I believe for myself. Either way, I looked into a bunch of other religions, and none seemed to fit what I believed. I went back to the church, and it just clicked. I realized that I really did believe what the church taught.

I'm a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, joining in September 1965.
What attracted me instantly to this religion were the truths in the Book of Mormon--some that explained why our American Indian had been scattered and smitten by the Gentiles. Because I understand why it happened does not have me endorsing every method used to subjugate the Indian.
God had his purposes to prepare this country (America) for the restored Church on earth.

I am not a religion. I am a Human Being.
I did not necessarily choose to be a Human being, it's just what I deserved.
I think that every Human being has the inherent nature of awakened consciousness in his mind.
This means if we can just get out of our own way, the light of God will shine through into every aspect of our lives.
I think the closest religion to how I feel is Buddhism.
But I am not Buddhism, I am a Human Being.

Catholic because I was born in it and I feel comfortable with it. That doesn't mean I agree with some of the ugly things priest have done, like molesting children...but I don't think any religion has perfect people. I wish we all human beings could just respect human beings and children above all.

I am atheistic when it comes to belief in god or gods, however, I attend the Unitarian Universalist Church because in this religion we profess to believe in the principal that "Each individual has both the right and responsibility to follow their own spiritual path".

Islam and I'm very proud of it.
Islam is a complete way of life. It tells man about the purpose of his creation and existence, his ultimate destiny, his place among other creatures and more importantly, it provides him with guidance to lead a balanced and purposeful life which will enable him to avoid the Hell-fire and be rewarded with a place in Paradise in the life after death. Simply Islaam is to "Obey Allah" (Allah is the Name of the Only One True God). Islaam is a verb in Arabic (a doing word). The one who does Islaam is called a Muslim. (Allah calls us "Muslims" in His Speech of Qur'ân).
The Arabic word Islaam means voluntary surrender to the will of Allaah and obedience to His commands. Allaah is an Arabic word, the proper name of God. Muslims prefer to use Allaah rather than God.
