I heard the current pope keeps an apartment outside of the Vatican for 3 cats, which other clergy clean up after.
Does this sound like a responsible use of funds? Especially at a time when the LA nuns are being tossed in the street?
What other apartments does he have? Perhaps one for cigars? Perhaps one for a vinyard? Maybe one for wardrobe and another for gold? Actually, I guess gold could be kept at the vatican with the rest of it they stole from the Jews during the Holocost.
Anyway, does anyone find anything wrong with this picture? What happened to the vow of poverty? It doesn't apply if you are a Pope?

I forgot to mention, the LA nuns are being kicked to the street, because they paid out 600 million for victoms of the pedifile priest from the Catholic Church.

You have no idea the corruption of the Catholic Church. What you mention is only the start.
In fact, so you keep your sanity, just walk away from this question alltogether. The Catholic Traditions are as corrupt as the Pope you mention..."Vicar of Christ" Ha!

He lives like a King besause he is one actually. He is the King for over 2 billion people. A third of the people on Earth.
They do not even need a country anymore. Just the Vatican City.
What happened to those nuns sucks, but hey, sacrifices must be made.

sigh....right here we bypass back. The Pope lives in a small place of abode. He owns basically no longer something. The Pope is the custodian, no longer the owner, of the paintings treasures in the Vatican. He has little or no funds at his disposal. the as quickly as a year selection of Peter’s Pence in the process the Church is mandatory to furnish money for initiatives in the process the worldwide. Any head of a multinational organization could snicker on the theory that the Pope is the worldwide’s richest guy (for an exceedingly wealthy Catholic, seem at Carlos narrow). The issues the Vatican owns are not the non-public sources of everyone. John Paul II, as an occasion, left only approximately no own sources of any type in his will - he had little to leave! He HAD few own possessions, won no gross revenues for doing his job. He owned truly a situation. truly no autos, tvs, stereos, homes, no longer something like that. The issues the Church has are, many times, powerful artworks and shape - component of the worldwide's cultural history, no longer in basic terms the internal maximum playthings of the churchmen. The Sistine Chapel, as an occasion, belongs to all - wealthy and unfavorable, Catholic and non-Catholic - who come to work out it. greater solid is being accomplished, and extra money being raised for the unfavorable, by skill of conserving the chapel as is and charging a modest fee to human beings to work out it, than could ever result from attempting to sell the region. As for assisting the unfavorable - NO company on the earth spends greater on the unfavorable than the Catholic Church - no longer remotely close! This situation approximately 'advertising the giving to unfavorable' grew to become into already responded by skill of Christ while Judas made an identical one on the invaluable oil in alabaster jar. To the malicious strategies, it grew to become right into a luxurious yet Christ defined why it grew to become into no longer luxurious while utilized to God...except one insists Judas grew to become into appropriate.

Not all clergy take vows of poverty. That is reserved for Monks and Friars, and others cloistered in religious life. Most priests, if they have personal wealth keep it separate from their Priestly life and duties.
Perhaps Benedict's apartment where you allege he keeps three cats is the only thing he can call his own.
His residence in the Vatican is reserved for any who hold his position; it is not "theirs."
The Whitehouse here in the States, does not belong to any president in office, but to the people. Likewise The Vatican belongs to the church, not to the Pope. And his personal finances, though up for scrutiny due to his position, are none the less his own private matters.

The Papecy is the big ugly beast in Rev, so no it does not suprise me. I just wish that the one billion members of that church would hear Jesus calling them
Rev 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
Rev 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Let me just take a minute to bust a gut laughing at this statement from the "Catholic Crusader":
"You're no Christian. You're a bigot and a hater."
Can irony go further?
As for the pope, he lives that way because he's worshiped (or no, I know, not "worshiped," but merely treated with total deference and doted upon) by millions of Catholics. Basically, he's their figurehead, exactly like the Queen of England, except infallible.
And yeah, it IS pretty despicable about the nuns being kicked out of their low-income housing because the Church has to foot the bill for its pedophile priests.

The people that own them do not charge rent, so it really does take up funds.
The pope ownes very little, most of everything you see was donated to the church.
AND the pope was given a choice- join the Hitler Youth or watch them kill his family.
EDIT: the nuns arnt being kicked out on the street, they are just being moved.

The pope has nothing--he has taken a vow of poverty. WHen the last pope died, he left nothing but his clothing and some wrtiings.
As for his cats, how I wish I could be in a position to care for more animals than I already do. ANimals are creations of GOd, just as people. Where else should he keep his cats, at the church with him?

because the church is a powerful, corrupt, vastly wealthy organisation that is materialistic, hypocritical and without morals. as long as their sheeple do as they are told and pay for their souls quietly, the church is happy.
sadistic, but happy
