I am speaking of R/S participant "Former atheist who loves Jesus", although I see he has changed his name to "Atheists need salvation too".

We exchanged several e-mails yesterday and I found him/her (not sure) to be intelligent and personable.

We agreed to disagree on the brainwashing I think influenced him/her. I get the feeling he is a he.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this, take it as you wish.

The whole fear thing is absurd to us. I think that is why his questions irritate me too.

just because I disagree with someone does not make them necessarily wrong. Misjudging is one thing i used to do alot, then I began to shut up and listen more.

heres the thing....a lot of christians "convert" to atheism after the slap in the face realization that God is non existent, or we at least believe in him (him?) under false pretenses.

Atheist use "universal truth" and "reasoning" to come to this decision, so you don't really see many atheist "convert" back into Christianity.

we are all human and none of us have reached perfection, I would think we have all misjudged others in the past even though we have no right to judge anyone.

Then why does he/she post such ridiculous messages?
Perhaps you should work on getting him/her to actually put some thought into how their posts are read-they seem quite rude and hate-filled.

To answer your question, yes, in real life I have experienced that.

No, most of the time I find if I disagree with a person they truly are wrong.
