I too suffer with really bad headaches, stomach problems that they can't seem to figure out what it is, and there are numerous spots on my body that cause my entire body to hurt if they are pushed or bumped. what are some of the things they do to help make it tolerable? Also what kinda dr do i need to go to initially?

Hi
I can tell you Fibromyalgia is a painful condition that causes fatigue, widespread pain, some times burning unrelenting pain, stiff and sore joints etc. Abnormal sleep pattern, headaches etc.

I would not wish this on my worst enemy, as it is a cruel unrelenting condition.

fibromyalgia is an ongoing syndrome that has no treatment. it is diagnosed by fatigue, pain/discomfort that is widespread (above and below waist, on right and left sides). However, to be diagnosed, you must have 11 of the 18 trigger spots. there are 18 spots on your body that, when pressed on, are very painful in those with fibromyalgia. If you feel you may be suffering from this, please see your doctor. I was suffering from the above symptoms, as well as headache, stomach issues, and chronic inability to concentrate. Turns out it was fibro... and though it's not treatable, there are ways to make it tolerable.

Fibro is a pain in everywhere really. It is like having a truck on your shoulders that you are expected to haul around all day and night. First you need to see the Doc or Physician. He can examine you and see if you have any trigger points then ask you questions about how you sleep. Likewise when you wake up how you feel? If he thinks you have Fibro he might decide to treat you, combination of muscle relaxants but you might have to try a few before you find the one that works. He might decide to send you to a Rheumatologist, just to rule out other problems. I suggest you invest in a egg crate mattress topper, which will help as while you sleep you can trigger those trigger points.

That sounds like fibromyalgia, but it is also the symptoms of other things as well. I would see a rhuematologist who can do a exam to diagnose you for sure. If it is fibromyalgia I strongly recommend water therapy, it really helps.
