You need to be more specific about what you want to do. Are you copying a list of numbers, or a single number? Do you want to create new worksheets or use existing worksheets?

There are several techniques, depending on what you are trying to achieve.

Sequential numbers into subsequent sheets ? Do you mean page numbers ? If you mean a squential number in the same cell on the next sheet. Type (without the inverts) "=" in the second cell then highlight the cell from the first sheet and drag and drop onto the 2nd sheet, then type "+1" after the value you've dropped. You can then do the same drag and drop for the next sheet and Excel should change the cell references.

right click and drag the bottom right of the selection, release it and choose "Fill Series" in the pop-up menu.
