I used to work as a filing clerk, and would see some of the most odd names.

Sunday Hash
Horace Traylor
Shan DeLere

Those are the ones that I can remember off the top of my head.

Oh! And a friend was complaining to me about the name her niece had chosen for her just born baby girl. The name was Candace Barr. And you just know when she gets to school, her friends are going to call her Candy, right?

I knew a man named Harry Kiester. When I said it I thought maybe the last name is an eye sound but he corrected me. He passed away a few years ago. I think the guy must have been nuts to go by his real name and his parents must have been completely stupid or just mean but that was his name.

I have read** about brothers named 'Winner' and 'Loser'. What's in a name? Winner ended up in prison for several serious crimes and Loser is currently a Sergeant in a police department.

Also, my mother went to school with a dude named Robert Supwoods (R Supwoods, get it?).

A friend tells me that she knew a Chinese girl name of Li Qu (like you). Not awful but certainly amusing.

I know of two - yes TWO - men named John Thomas.

I knew a woman named Harpsy Cora, and a boy named Bozer. My husband used to be a plumber and when he was driving to a job, he saw a mailbox listing the name: Harry S. Balls. (True story.)

A girl I used to hang out with was telling me her cousin was pregnant and she and her husband had decided on a name if it were to be a boy: "Ryder". I told her I liked it and it was different. My friend went on to say "I like it too.... But their last names are Moore". Yeah, seriously.
