If the US government can spy on people via satellite, why aren't they stopping the illegal alien invasion?

Why is the US government looking the other way as they see all of the illegals entering our nation without permission? Aren't they concerned about the safety of our nation? Why are we in Iraq if we can't stop terrorists from entering our country? Is this the beginning of an attempt at world control?

Our government has the ability to see what brand of cigarettes you are smoking in your yard. They know what is happening on a daily basis and are doing nothing to stop it. Why?

It does little good to have the technology to watch illegals pouring over the border if you don't have enough boots on the ground to arrest them. Our government has failed us miserably for years by not enforcing current immigration law as well as making it more attractive to come to the US by giving away our tax dollars as handouts. If they put troops on the ground at the border until the fence could be completed and begin mass deportation it would be a great start.
I believe the reason that there has been no major attempt at stopping this invasion is because of NAFTA, CAFTA, and trying to promote a North American Union which wants to make Mexico, the US and Canada one big nation without borders and with one currency as well as build a Superhighway from Mexico to Canada four football fields wide to facilitate trade. We think we have problems now, just pray these fools don't get their way. They are selling out the American people and America as we know it. We are already loosing our cultural identity and are losing our sovereignty. All Americans need to get off their ever widening asses and hit the streets and demand that our government end this nonsense of a North American Union and secure our borders now.

This question is too broad to go into fully but, the reason the U.S government can't contain the problems with illegal aliens is because there are too many of them to stop at once.There are more delicate issues you don't know about because they are classified information and you only know what the government wants you to know. Plus where can the government get credible information or the right workers for the job? This probably will never become known.

I don't understand this myself and it is an invasion. In the last two weeks I've heard about 2 different people who have been in car wrecks with illegal aliens. In both cases the illegals had no drivers license or insurance. In on case (a naturalized citizen) will only be out the $500 deductible on her insurance. In the other case, the guy's hospital bills are already over $100,000 and his share after all is said and done will be $25,000 to $50,000. And in both cases, nothing is going to happen to the illegals. This truly is an invasion.

That is exactly why the sensors and cameras Bush wants to put in instead of a fence are worthless. They may be able to see and stop a huge cartel action, but where they already ignore MANY calls from local law enforcement to pick up illegals actually in custody, how much confidence do you have that they would go after the twosies and threesies coming across the border if they saw them? (Not to mention the glitch that the sensors apparently can be shorted out by peeing on them.)

We need the double security fence required by law.

This is also happening the same way in England I am sorry to say. We are allowing hundreds of illegals into our country every month. People from old eastern block countries and the far East are flooding in and our Government appears to have no control over it at all. Thousands of pounds of tax payers money is being spent just to teach them all how to speak English. It is concerning but are you allowed to say anything about it - NO. We cannot upset our Muslim friends can we! What about political correctness in your country? In England if you show any kind of pride in being English you are accused of being a racist. I do not see that happening in the USA. Believe me you appear not to have it too bad over the Atlantic compared to here.
We can all hope for a better future where we true British and Americans have much more of a say.

I think they are trying but need more trained people in the service. Not NG. They round up a lot and a lot get through. I don't think any of us expected an invasion really though.
These people have been our neighbors for a long time. and we travel across their border at ease, do we start shooting them now?
Maybe fewer guns to Habbas and more training and equipment money for the Mexican gov to stop them themselves. Right now the border guard is on the wrong side of the fence.

US government is way more concerned to spy on American people in order to control them so that people will not revolt against government than to stop any illegal immigration. There are no terrorists in the US other than an imaginary ones which government deliberately keep implanting in American people heads. In Iraq all we are doing now is pumping their oil for free and that was and is the only reason why our troops are still there.

They really don't care, they just act like they do so they can get reelected.

The government just watches the ones they can get money off of so they can drain us dry with taxes, so their wallet can get a little fatter.
