Life holds no promise for happiness regardless of distance as only you can make all things possible...
I know a girl whose pregnancy lasted longer than her marriage...! I know a guy that was married for 17 years and his wife left him for a younger guy...!
Is there a real message here...?
If a couple meets on the internet or not, distance is an inconvenience of time and expense more than it is a test of endurance and love...
"Communications" is the prime factor in any relationship regardless of distance, not trust. If a person had little or no trust for the other then there is no need to communicate in the first place...
Rule of thumb...: "When in doubt...DON'T...!"
Should a couple find love thru long distance they both will work to overcome the distance somehow and eventually satisfy their needs and have their dreams come true. That's what real love does...
Beyond that of real love, a long distance relationship will offer no more than you want to put into it and surely will have times of feeling lost and forgottten...it is just a basic relationship of the friendly kind and no more than that...

ive been with my boyfriend for 4 years now. We come from different states and did the long distance thing for over 2 years. We now live together and things are going great. I think they can only work if you are 100% committed and honest with your partner. You have to really really love the person to make it work. It makes the time you do have together really special , but at times it gets tough. If you love someone enough you can make it work.

I think they can work. Been in one for 4 years now and we are happy with eachother. A long distance relationship takes a lot of communication, trust and honesty so just be prepared for all of that. Both of you have to be willing to make it work. Webcams are good because you get to see eachother, and microphones help with lowering phone bills. Letters are good too becuase they are more personal. Good luck, i hope that you two can make it work.

I think that anything is possible. It really depends on the couple. If they really, truly love and care about each other and remain faithful than I think its very much possible. You will probally have to put twice the effort into it and make sure you call, text,or e-mail almost everyday. Also, try buying a web cam so you can video chat.

One needs to get a hug when one needs one.
Need eye contact
Need to be with someone and not just want to be.
