Have you seen a change in our world?

Question

Do you believe our culture has shifted and is going in a direction that is unhealthy. We have tons of kids with no dads at all. I personally know 2 moms who left their kids due to drugs, moms! We have these nuts who kill their own children now. School shootings are progressively getting worse, public shootings in general are getting worse. I could go on and on about tons of other things, but would like some opinions on this. Do you believe this is all the same and we didnt hear about it before, or do you believe our culture has shifted a bit in these directions? If you do, what is going on do you think? God's peace :)

In my nearly six decades I have seen too much change and too many individual freedoms vanish.

If you check the statistics crime is still falling but the media is reporting it more and more.
Teen pregnancies have remained pretty stable, a bit higher in places that oppose sex education or birth control.
Abortion rates have neither risen or fallen significantly.
Drug use is up slightly, in spite of the "War on Drugs."

Things stay fairly constant. About the only thing showing a marked change is the widening gap in earnings between the rich and poor. It exceeded the difference of 1928 about 3 years ago and it is worse than 1930 by quite a bit now.
The rich are rich, the poor are poor and there is no middle class. If you calculate on net worth instead of earnings it is even worse. The value of the dollar has dropped quite a bit, that is a problem.
I think it is another crisis in the economics.

The shift is toward more control over people, stronger attempts to prevent revolts.
Soon it will bring major war again. USA invading Iran might be like Germany invading Poland with the supporting roles of Japan, Austria and Italy replaced by England, Canada and Ausralia. China standing in for Russia under Stalin, Russia replacing...., well I think you get the picture.

USA has gone out of its way to alienate Turkey, so much that Turkey called their ambassador home. Turkey is the second largest military force in the NATO.
The USA president is now deliberately insulting China with the award to the Dalai Lama and is cranking up the war fever to invade Iran.
If war happens...
Nobody knows which way India or PAK might go, The European Unions decision is anybody's guess. Russia might side with Europe, or maybe China. Maybe early or maybe late. Late might be their choice hoping for China and USA to break each other, like USA did in WWII. The war might be conventional or nuclear, it might be biological weapons or unconventional guerrilla, whatever it is it will not be like the last one.

It is all a big guessing game, a huge gamble.
As the leaders of the Nazi party said, either they would go down in history as the wisest, bravest and most virtuous of nations, or as the worlds greatest villians.
So put together your emergency kit, prepare your disaster plans, get ready for the worst and hope for the best.

In truth world have changed a lot as compared to the previous centuries. Look at the history of Europe and America for past 500 year then you will know that it has changed a lot better. And this betterment is really unimaginable if we think about their past. Humanity is going to better in general. But since men have some corruption in brains which causes such events. Such events which you have mentioned are result of progress. As it is an accepted fact that civilised people like horrible games while uncivilised people like civil games. Look at gladiators of Romans and horse racing of Mongols etc. Dont worry mainly we are safer, facilitated and in better position as compared to previous years. World is gradually going to a better form then before day by day.

It is part of the 'sign' that Jesus said to watch out for.

It's going the way the Bible predicted, the end time will come.

There is many factors to why it is array, we should be helping our neighbors as God said....I don't think there is to much of that going on.

Another reason and example..... through out the years there have been the killing of many many many abortions..... these aborted babies were all the thoughts of God....God had a plan for them, we disrupted the plans.... these perhaps were the future children that would perhaps helped make this world a better place......... do you see my point.

We are killing ourselves by allowing the killing of Babies.

People have always been just as they are. What shifts is our awareness of it.

Deciding that the current moral decay is "The major problem" fueled every horror in history. Adolf Hitler came to power restoring morality to Germany.

Of course, every milli-second there are changes in the world. But, regarding your example, I tell you there has not been a real change there. At one time good things happen in one place and bad things happen in other place. At other times, the reverse happen. I believe there are still more good things happening in the world than bad things.
