Tourism is travel for predominantly recreational or leisure purposes or the provision of services to support this leisure travel. The World Tourism Organization defines tourists as people who "travel to and stay in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes not related to the exercise of an activity remunerated from within the place visited".

Majority of the people who go to a different country go there for sight-seeing and tours. Their relationship is basically they are dependent on each other to survive. Tourism generally promotes a country/places hotspots, culture, must-sees attraction for people to WANT to travel to it. Tourism can also branch out in medicine(Bangkok) and job opportunities(Canada).

You could say that travel is the process or getting someplace, and tourism is stopping to smell the roses along the way.

They go hand in hand.Travel may not be interesting but you make up in the tourism part of it.Just go to Africa and in particular Kenya,while travelling may be hectic, yuoll enjoy every part of your tour.The wildlife is just amazing!Youll even watch the long distance runners from that part of the world.They produce the best runners by the way.
