My husband made a copy of the picture his brother took of him proposing to me. He wrote me a sweet message on the back telling me that he loved me more today than he ever had and to remember that it is just him and me up there. I cried of course, but there is nothing that could have topped that gift on my wedding day. I put it in our wedding album, so now every time I look at it, I remember exactly how I felt right before I walked down the aisle.

Bake. Bake him a batch of brownies or cookies or a nice cake. Buying baked goods seems so impersonal, as well as expensive. Bake him something. Of course, cooking him a nice dinner from scratch is tons cheaper than going out or even "eating in" with pre-cooked foods. It doesn't need to be highly involved or time-consuming, either -- and it tastes tons better, too! If you need suggestions or recipes, email me by clicking on my avatar for an email link.

You should buy her something that she can wear every day and remind her of you. Maybe a beautiful small bracelet or a nice watch. After 20 years she can show it to your children and say that you bought it for her on your engagement day...

How nice--Congratulations.
Nothing materialistic of course.
Make her understand that wedding is a faithful and ever lasting understanding between a man and a woman.Make her understand that together both of you shall build a culture of oneness and togetherness. Both of you understand that you should be fit mentally, physically and socially.Good luck and God Bless you both.
