My dog started what seemed like labor tuesday at 8:30am she had clear fluid coming from her vulva. She seemed like she was having some slight contractions. About 2 hours later they stopped. About 10:30 that night she started again until 2:00am. Wednesday all day she was fine. Now at 4:00am seems she is doing it again. She has been eating, drinking, normal temp, playing, everything. She also is having a hard time licking her vulva she is so big! Please help? What is going on, I have never seen anything like it. Also, I considered trying feathering. Let me know what you think! Thank you

Took my dog to a new vet today for a new xray. Found there to be 8-9 puppies!!! The pups are not even in the birth canal yet! The "contractions" were them trying to get there cause they are so cramped. I have a puggle, which is a pug and beagle. She weighed about 15lbs. So there is limited space for that many lil guys! Thank you everyone!

Well, coming here for advice tells me you know too little to be doing this alone. Call the vet and take the dog. She may be having trouble delivering. I cant tell you for sure (neither can anyone else here) because I am not there to evaluate the dog. Get her to the vet please. Next time do some research first. This really is a horrible place to ask breeding questions. Most of these people dont have a clue. Email me if I can be of any help.

truely you need to call your vet or at this hour a local emergency vet, in labor a dog's temp will drop and she should start nesting (finding a chosen are to deliver), however, there are exceptions to each rule. When was your dog bred? If you have kept track that would give you a better idea as well. A dogs gestation period is 63-64 days, I would contact my vet if I were you, if a puppy is wrapped in the umbilical cord or too large to pass through the birth canal you could not only risk losing the puppy, but the mom as well!

Sounds like she might move at any time! Not all puppies have the temperature drop 24 hours earlier than supply (as you're deciding). And each and every being pregnant is specific. Has there been any vaginal discharge? If no longer, you're on the whole k. She could also be extra uncomfortable this time round than the final, or she could also be determining up in your difficulty and being extra nervous on the grounds that of that. I am a little bit amazed that she has been having contractions for four days, although: are you definite they're contractions and no longer simply train contractions? With train contractions, the contractions are very a long way aside and abnormal and traditionally no longer as powerful as truly contractions. In human remedy, they're referred to as Braxton -Hicks contractions. Since she is consuming k and energetic and there isn't a discharge, I could hold to permit matters move. But quite, you're the only correct there together with her, and in case you consider anything is incorrect that's ample rationale to take a go back and forth to the vet.
