I was AF Pilot and had a parachute accident, shattered my left ankle now fused. Arthritis both knees and lower back, slipped disk that can't be fixed, PTSD, bipolar, anxiety disorder, panic disorder. The VA gave me 100% after almost 20 years of trying, I started with 20%. I am also on social security disability. I hope that answers your question. Salutes to you.

As a daughter of an Air Force man who suffered greatly and served bravely in the Vietnam War, and as a professor and creative colleague of a host of Gulf War and Iraq War veterans and service men and women, I give the utmost respect to all who are courageously serving in the military now. While I do not support the war in Iraq, I fold my two hands together gently and respectfully and say to them all "namaste"--meaning the spirit within me honors the spirit within you. I pray for their safe return, and for their strength, healing, and just compensation.

(And to you too, William B.: namaste. Thank you for your questions and answers here on Yahoo! Answers. You add a lot to this forum.)

Every year on 25th April My wife and I along with out two youngest children(now 9 & 4) attend the local ANZAC dawn parade to pay our respects to those who served and in particular those who didnt come home. Without their sacrifice I may not exist today. I owe them my very existence

I agree. We are fortunate to attract some of the nation's finest young people in the armed services, and I am proud to have worn the same uniform and served in one of the same services as they are in.

It gives me a lot of hope for our future. I wish we had a few more of these bright young folks in the service.

I thank all who have served, are serving and will serve in the future to maintain the freedoms I enjoy. I have three currently serving our country and my family has served since the Revolutionary War. SO GOD BLESS, AND STAY SAFE...

Great. but seeing as you claim to be 100% disabled in a prior post, how do you do that??

EDIT: Thanks for the explanation. 100% in my book is a paraplegic with traumatic amputation to all limbs, no sight and a deaf mute!
