I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
from thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. AMEN.

The idea of god is reality until you view and judge the world view on your physical identity. When you become aware of the fact the true identity is not physical but the spirit on which the whole experience of the universe perceived as a person is based then whatever seen,known and perceived as a person is mere illusion. Therefore the ultimate reality of existence is the spirit. To discover and realize and abide in that truth is becoming one with the truth. the truth is god. That is the spirit or Atman is god.

Your taking the time to ask so that's a great start! Reading the bible would give you a better understanding of what GOD was trying to say to his people. I became a born again christian and tried to walk away from knowing the lord, GOD and anything else having to do with heaven.
Take your time, read the book and make your decision from there.

If there is a god he isn't nice or fair. I mean he allows some of us his creations to b born in africa with aids. Some of us are also born with millionaire parents in the good ol USA. I don't believe there is a hell i mean its the circumstances we r in that help determine our behavior. Ne all knowing being would take that into account. The bible is full of logical fallacy and sexist remarks. There might b a god but if there is one he won't b how christianity and many of the major world religions imagin him.

I believe that God created the Heaven and the earth, and that He has a plan for us. I believe that plan included Jesus Christ, coming down and dying for our sins, and then arose and ascended back into Heaven. And that He will return for us in Gods own time. I believe that Gods spirit spoke to man to write the Bible. God is omnipitant, amnipresent, and knows what is best for me. That is some of my beliefs. And I know some will not agree, but that still is the way I see it.

I can tell you that I don't believe in a god that would be pleased with blood sacrifices or a god that would need the blood of his son to wash sins. That's all just backwards and sick. I think god is perfect and could never be anything like the christian god.

he was a dictator thousands of years ago that was a child killer, rapist, and mass murderer. he doesn't deserve to be worshipped. i got this idea from the stories in the bible about how god behaves. when you read them he sounds like every dictator we've had to fight this past century.
this is how to spell believe- notice the lie.

I don't believe in Religion as an institution. I don't believe in a God as a person (as in "he" thinks things rationally and then makes decisions. I don't believe in Heaven or Hell as physical places but rather states of mind. I don't believe in Reincarnation or ascension. I dont believe in an afterlife(since this world is already both)
I do believe in free will. I believe in loving you fellow man. I believe in the goodness of people. I believe in science. I believe in Karma.
But most of all, I believe in making people choose themselves what they want to believe in.
I believe I'm probably wrong about what I believe in, but im open to suggestion.

If the god in the bible does exist is he one mean so and so. firstly creating evil,then blaming all of his other creations for succumbing to it,asking for sacrifices(both human and animal),rejoicing in child murders,genocide,and then he decides he needs to sacrifice himself to himself to appease himself and save everyone from the evil he created.No thank you.
