Clearly your question is meant to be a criticism of America's foreign policy, so it really isn't a mental health question.

America is just fine. But the mental health of our governmental leaders is highly questionable. In terms of our "decider" and the people who tell him what to do, you may have a very valid point.

I disagree with most of what you posted as being characteristic of The United States or schizophrenia. The only one I might agree with is the last and the reason for this is not due to a delusion of grandeur or persecution but because it shows the stereotyped uneducated view of schizophrenia held by so many. Schizophrenia is not a single disease but a spectrum of disorders. The criteria for diagnosing it are contained in DSM-4TR, the diagnostic and statistical manual of the American Psychiatric Association.

Schizophrenia paranoia is something traumatic that happens to a person and the delusions he/she forms are his/her attempt to come up with some explanation for him/herself and others for what is happening to them. The fact that the disorder typically happens to the young (teens to twenties) is why they don't make much sense because a child has no repertoire of knowledge to make an accurate assessment of what is going on. Psychiatry does not either for what causes the disorders is unknown.

America, I think is a paranoid nation because we fear one another and the rest of the world else why would we be a people, 9 out of 10 of whom own a gun, and the nation as a whole has a stockpile of over 5000 nuclear weapons? They aren't schizophrenia paranoia though because they don't all "hear" voices.

Good luck in your study of schizophrenia, good mental health, peace and Love!

This quote got here from the Czech Republic and replaced into translated into English from an editorial in the Prague newspaper, Prager Zeitungon. the possibility to u.s. isn't Barack Obama, yet a citizenry able to entrusting a guy like him with the Presidency. that's going to be a techniques extra convenient to shrink and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to repair the required straightforward experience and solid judgment to a wicked voters keen to have one in each and every of those guy for his or her president. the subject is a lot deeper and lots extra severe than Mr. Obama, who's an insignificant symptom of what ails u.s. . Blaming the prince of fools shouldn't blind absolutely everyone to the great confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can stay to tell the tale a Barack Obama, who's, inspite of each and every little thing, in simple terms a fool. that's way less possibly to stay to tell the tale a great form of fools, which comprise people who made him their prince!

what you mentioned is not the operational criteria for schizophrenia, we diagnose this illness by using the ICD-10 or the DSM-IV criteria, they are the mainstay in diagnosis.
schizophrenia is a worldwide disorder, with an incidence equal in almost all countries, you should go through the international pilot study done by the WHO to know the disease well, but if your question harboring a political flavor, then you have hurt lots of schizophrenic patients by stigmatizing them to your own benefit.

This looks like the description of Paranoid Personality Disorder not Schizophrenia. Nice try though.

No, psychiatric diagnoses is only applicable to humans not countries. Try a term from political science or philosophy or history to describe.
