I am an atheist but I can no imagine why god would have a problem with a dead person helping another to live a longer more fulfilling life. From an atheistic P.O.V. you certainly won't be needing them anymore an personally I see it as the right thing to do. I honestly wouln't have a problem if it were mandatory.

Islam allow any good deed either giving of organs if the other gets benefit and the donator do not loose. I mean donation before death and use of organs of dead people. For living it is not allowed and should not be allowed except blood etc.

The Catholic Church supports organ donation. I cannot speak to other religious traditions because I haven't really studied that question.

I'm an evangelical minister. Organ donation is ok with me, and I encourage my congregation to consider it as part of their 'last' ministry.

Why waste it and turn it into dust if there's someone out there who needs it. Besides, when the time comes to go to heaven, God will give us a new glorified body that is complete and perfect.

i believe that a decision of this nature can only be made between a person, their family, and God. a person should prayerfully consider what God would have them to do in regards to donating their organs upon death... if you feel led to donate your organs or give blood, then there is no reason you should not. if you don't feel led to give blood or donate your organs, you should not feel guilty about it and you should not allow yourself to be coerced.

If harvesting some of my body after my death could alleviate the suffering or prolong the life of another, I'm sure the Lord would be more than happy for it to go ahead.

If Jesus can give his body as a Holy Sacrifice to save all mankind from an eternity apart from God, then I think I should be able to give a kidney to save a life! Just my thoughts
