Yes, I know the baking time would change, I'm asking if users have a preference?

I do this all the time and even add a dry pudding mix to it for richness.

Absolutely you can use the same mix as you would for cakes. Be sure to get yourself a muffin tin and cupcake papers for your cupcakes. If you dont have cupcake papers, then be sure to smear grease or cooking spray into each muffin section then sprinkle flour on all sides to ensure that the cupcakes don't stick. Don't fill the papers all the way up because they will rise when baking. They will not take nearly as long to bake as a cake would so watch them carefully. When you are able to carefull insert a toothpick and it come out clean, the the cupcakes are done. Turn them over onto a towel or rack to cool and then frost them with your favorite frosting as you would a cake! Enjoy!

no, i thnk it would still taste the same, cup cakes are like mini cakes
