Will laminating a leaf preserve its color?

Any ideas on better methods for preserving leaves?

It depends on whether the leaf is dry or moist. Lots of pigmentation is determined by the moisture content. Colorful leaves like Autumn leaves are mostly dry when they leave the tree. (not always) Dry leaves will retain their color. Moist leaves might retain their color but it differs on type. good luck.

Yes. I have seen butterflies laminated
