I`m leaning towards the devil in the flesh. How many times did they shoot that ole bugger? And he just kept on tickin. I think he might have had horns under that silly little hat.
I can`t see how you can call someone that insulated pedophiles by transferring the accused to different parishes a saint.

When Pope John Paul kick the bucket I was absolutely elated.

Saint. It was John Paul ][ who FIRST acknowledged and began to take action against the pedos. No credit for that?

Let's not forget, there has been sexual abuse in ALL sects of Christianity, not just the sect to which you take a personal disliking.
A little research will expose that the rate of sexual abuse outside the Catholic Churches is remarkably high as well.

The Catholic Church gets the most attention when it comes to sexual abuse because they are by far the largest and most organized, so the "conspiracy" of keeping it out of the public eye draws much more attention. All the other Churches are on their own, so you'll see a brief mention of "so-and-so Pastor from X Church was charged with sexually abuse..." but you'll never see a huge documentary on that one little church.

You get a D- for bias.

Pope John Paul II was a wonderful man who tried as hard as any human to stand up for His Christian faith and beliefs. He was only shot one time and many people have survived a shooting and were not called devils. The devil would like to weaken all Christians and churches by accusing them of wrongdoing. Look at our government - look at the list of our congressmen and representatives that have been convicted of doing wrong but no one has called them devils. Why??? hmmmm
What did you really know about Pope John Paul II anyway???

How much do you actually know about the man and his credo???? And as far as your elation goes.... I have never, ever wished someone dead but, I will read your obituary with great glee. You should be ashamed of such a lame*** question. Do you wear a pointed white hat that doubles as a mask and a robe when you burn your crosses?

I loved that cute little old guy! It broke my heart when he died because, even though I'm agnostic, I still saw a loving grandfatherly face on him. Unfortunately, when I first saw Benedict, my spidey-senses told me he was NOT an adequate replacement for John Paul. I hate to say it but that guy LOOKS evil!

Hmmm...become a devout Catholic by actually going to mass and talking to a priest. Then read your question again and give yourself a slap on the wrist. Saint!

He didn't kick the bucket he kicked the bucket - quite different. The only one I can think of where it is said that Satan entered into - was Judas. Any evidence that this Pope was a Judas?

Compared to Benedict, a saint. But on the whole, I'd say, neither.

I dislike catholics for there belief that mortal men are the key to their salvation, for example why do they have to have a priest tell them their forgiven, God is accessible, you can talk directly to Him. As for the Pope not even sure what good he is to the world, maybe to the catholic world since they obviously need some kind of mortal idol to make them feel better.
