Saturdays and Sundays work for obvious reasons, but there are some races on holidays, like Turkey Trots, etc. Would a Tuesday morning race be a really bad idea, from the organizer stand point? Have you done a weekday race?

well i know when i was in high school running cross country out here in oregon most of those races were durring the week and a couple of them were public races put on by school that anyone could run but i would have to say that unless the race was on a holiday it probably would do a lot better on the weekend

In Utah there is Founder's Day. It occurs on the day that the Mormons came into the valley around Salt Lake City. It would be on a weekday 5 days out of 7. I ran my first marathon there, but they also have a 10K.
