How do you like the FOP being classified as a radical fringe group?

CGIV76,

The FOP Executive Director responded to the classification;

"I would say resident within the Fraternal Order of Police is far more expertise with the administration of justice than Mayor Bloomberg's limited experience in that area," shot back James Pasco, the group's executive director.

Please supply a link. I've never heard that term used, and I've been an active member for around 30 years.
Edit. With all due respect. I am not defending FOP. I still don't see why FOP is being classified as a radical fringe group, or why. Disagreeing with something, or someone, does not make you a radical. Am I missing something?.

I believe the idiot Mayor of New York simply stated he thought the FOP was a radical fringe group. I don't think the NYPD FOP kiss the mayor's butt so that make them radical. Don't even want to know what he thinks of the NRA.

I work for the Sheriff, so we don't have the FOP backing us. I didn't know it was considered a radical fringe group.

Our FOP sucks. Always cowering to the mayor and the alderman. Never stick up for us. I hope we break off from them and go to the Teamsters.

Well a lot of cops do have wackjob opinions and beliefs. Yeah, it could be a radical group, but with an ineffective bureaucracy.
