I was just wondering if anyone knew what this term meant, confirmed bachelor, I was rereading a book on Wyland and found this phrase, any ideas?

Wrong section.

Confirmed bachelor means he intends to never get hitched. He's gotten away every time so far.

It's original use was a way to indicate someone was gay. It's become over-used, and now you hear people use it to say they have no intention to get married, so they can date as many women as they want.

It is SOMETIMES used as an evasive way to say that someone is homosexual.
