The answer to your question is best done by simply explaining the purpose of the gall bladder, and you can do the "math" yourself.
The gall bladder is connected by various ducts to the liver, pancreas and stomach. The liver and pancreas create enzymes which permit the digestion of fats. In most cases, the gall bladder just sits around and stores these enzymes. However, if you happen to eat a meal high in fats, your stomach sends a signal to your gall bladder that it needs some enzyme reserves to fully process all the fat that suddenly appeared. The gall bladder contracts and spits its enzymes into your stomach which then is able to digest your bacon fat-flavored butter stick. The gall bladder then refills, and awaits its next Thanksgiving.
Now, if you happen to have a diet very low in fats, then you may never in your life need your gall bladder. (Some fat enzymes exist in your stomach at all times anyway.)
If you do, however, ever eat a meat that has a high fat content, your body will be unable to fully digest the fat, and it will eventually simply pass into your small intenstine, then the large intestine...and finally...well...let's just say that unprocessed fat isn't pretty when coming out the other end. (Google people who have critiques of a new diet pill called "Alli".)
Hope this helps!

You have to stay on a low fat diet. The bile from the gall bladder helps process fatty foods. If you eat something with too high a fat content you'll get diarrhea. There are also medications which help but if you eat right you don't need them.

I had my gallbladder taken out due to stones back in 2003 and I've not had any side effects at all. I haven't changed a thing and don't miss having a gallbladder in the least. I've heard some people have to change their diet, but I haven't.

No side effects that I can think of.
To be safe, however, I would suggest that you ask a doctor.
