Is it fair that my husband got mad at me in front of my family for spending $65.00 on a fruit basket. We recently had a baby so he feels that any extra money should go towards our kids. I was just trying to make our house look pretty and he doesn't think to buy stuff like this.

Well yeah sorry chica I am going to go on your husbands side. You could have easily bought all the stuff and made it yourself and it would have been cheaper. Don't compare yourself to that thing called Brittney you at least have your kids go mom!!!

You spent 65 dollars on a fruit basket for yourself? You know those hormones that make you alittle crazy during pregnancy don't go away for a while, I'd chalk it up to that. I have no idea what "pull a Brittney" means unless you spent 65 dollars on a shave.
I think you and your husband should sit down and discuss your expectations for finances. More people divorce over money than anything else. Congrads on the babe!

Well that was a little extravagant for a fruit basket.
If you want to pretty your house, get the stuff to make it and that way it also occupies your time and makes you feel like your really contributed something from your own two hands, to make the house look nicer and warmer.
Sorry but your hubby did have a valid point.

He has good intentions, but seriously he has to be reasonable.
Buying something for your house isn't a bad thing or anything.
