Why does it seem you christians never do your research?I have seen many of your answers and they seem very uneducated. It looks as if your answers are just what tad bit of info you know,it doesn't look as if you have really done any research. Though it might be me just because I'm 14 and know more than most people because I do the research.

I will probably get down-thumbed for saying this, but I don't care. You are right on track, kid. But ask yourself: If Christians were good at research, would they still be Christians? Pretty hard to believe in Christian doctrine when you use reason and scientific method. Don't even get me started on the Immaculate Conception.

And notice that instead of using reason to argue with you, these people are using age-geared insults. Think you proved your point!

Never do research? Last year I read 300 books from the college library, talked to professors from Yale and other universities for help, I've read Thomas Paine's "Age of Reason", Dawkins "God Delusion", Harris "The End of Faith" and "Letter to a Christian Nation", Armstrong's "A History of God", the Jefferson Bible, history of the Crusades, Salem Witch Trials, Indian genocides, speeches of Hitler concerning religion. I've investigated a list of 270 contradictions in the New Testament alone. I learned ancient Greek to see if the Bible was mistranslated. I've taken biology classes. I have never gone to a Christian school, but always secular schools and secular college. Oh and I've taken classes on other religions and what they believe and the history of them. I've never taken an IQ test because I think if you spend time in the library you can acquire knowledge. Some people may be gifted in youth, but anyone can master a subject if they spend time researching it. IQ means nothing.

I also have Asperger's syndrome, bipolar disorder, severe migranes, possible dyslexia....

Good enough? What more do I need to do to "do my research"? Looking at biased websites is not research.

Your only educated because your 14. All persons are 100% beings. To you research solves problems and is fun, witch is very productive so you look on and say people are uneducated and your right but you have to remember the rough times of the past to understand it wasn't just learning. They where just trying to survive in 30 bellow Canadian wheater. They learned harder lessons than any of us educated people could understand. Like why did so many follow Hitler to doom, without question. We can't really understand why but don't ever think your better because if Hitler would stop by they might know what to do having real life experience in war that you don't get in a book. Your the center of your reality don't forget.Weakness and Strengths you have that are unique to you. Just don't underestimate theirs.
The bible is meant to teach us certain leasons only. It is a book and thus as no real value besides the wisedom that comes from it. God is no more real than Santa clause. Mother nature deserves more credit as being real. God is wise(knowledge). Mother nature is real(life) and wise.

it takes much, much study to learn the Bible well. Perhaps some answer without looking at the whole scripture. I have not noticed uneducated answers on here. If I was 14 maybe I'd have time to research, but I have a full busy life.

You're 14, and that's the median age of people posting here.

If you do any research at all, you are already well beyond your peers.

But I agree that the answers from believers here seem extraordinarily juvenile in whole. I suspect that's because there are two groups attracted to Y!A R&S - the young who have never questioned what mommy and daddy told them, and the old who have had an about face and decided mommy and daddy were wrong.

Although I'm not a Christian, I understand where they're coming from. This is what they were raised to know. This, for the most part, is ALL they know. The Bible tells them: 'this is how it is', and so that's what they believe.

Never insult a person based on their belief. This makes you the bad person, not them. The Bible tells them to spread the word of God, and that people WILL resist you..so you have to keep trying to save their souls. They are simply doing what they were told to do, and nothing more.

Christians are like everybody else in many ways - some of us are very smart, and do our research; and some of us don't.
I think if you put your money where your mouth is, you would attend church services, study the Bible, tithe, witness, and pray in everyday life.
I LOVE research - gets my brain juices flowing. And I enjoy learning about my religion, including any bad stuff previous 'Christians' are responsible for [ listened to the Devil too much ].
Learning and researching helps me, and sets examples for my kids, and everyone else's kids i come in contact with.
[My parents did the same thing ].
My kids and their friends have asked me everything, so I want to be sure I give correct answers.

Wow only 14 and already this arrogant.

Just because someone doesnt come to the same conclusions as you and dont believe like you do doesnt mean they havent done their research. This is like the night for complete arrogance. I am reading thru sooo many answers for this question of people, mostly atheists, claiming that christians dont do research, dont look at anything outside their faith, wouldnt be christian if they researched. Give me a break people. Christians study and research and question their beliefs as much as anyone. You just dont like that they dont come to the same conclusion as you after they have done their research. There are ignorant people in every group, religious and atheist. If someone doesnt think just like you it doesnst mean they are uneducated or dont do their research.

While most people can access vast libraries of knowledge for research, Christians confine their scope to just one book. Half the time, they just copy and paste large passages from the Bible and call that an answer. Occasionally, they'll throw in a "thou shalt", "hath", or "sayeth" in an attempt to sound like an authority.

A messianic Jew is a Jew that believes that Jesus is the Messiah. Christians and Messianic Jews consider that Jesus is the Messiah. They are Jews. The factor of view of the anti Messianice Jews is satisfactory summed up by means of Mark JPAS whilst he stated "it's appropriate to combo a few measure of international religious factors with Judaism. The one exception is Christianity, that is looked as if it would be incompatible with any kind of Jewishness. This is the double commonplace that's implemented to Christianity although Jesus is viewed the Jewish Messiah in Christianity. Messianic Jews are checked out with even higher disdain. Why? its a canopy for there possess deviations from Judaism. Some Jews have to hold a connection to Jewish household due to the fact that they have got deviated such a lot from conventional Judaism that many Orthodox query their Jewishness. They want discover a few technique to distract awareness due to the fact that of there deviation from the Torah. This is finished by means of pointing their finger at others to direct awareness clear of their possess movements. You are not able to provide your self a identify and assume that it makes you some thing. This is the argument that has been used in opposition to Jews that come to a decision that Jesus is the Messiah. We are advised that the mere perception of one more nature of God instantly invalidated a Jews Jewishness. At the identical time Jews that end up atheists, pantheists or give up practising any detail in their faith we're advised are nonetheless Jews. They say that you'll consider in something however Jesus. Jews name conversion "becoming a member of the tribe". Things that could in no way fly in Orthodox or for that subject Messianic Judaism may also be observed within the Reform and Reconstructionist activities. A well illustration of this can be a prior query requested right here. The individual asking worshiped the God Ferris however didn't consider in him or the Jewish God. The cognizance of the query was once" ...could you PERSONALLY believe comfy welcoming me now not simply as a fellow congregant at your Synagogue, however as a member of the Tribe?" (so he was once evidently asking approximately changing to Judaism). The reaction was once "Reform Judaism covers a vast swath of ideals and practices and I am certain you'll be completely approved. ... I for my part could receive you entire heartily as a fellow Jew." So a few Jews will receive a wide variety of deviations from the Torah however now not perception in "Jesus". Let's now not overlook the Reform motion desired to difference the sabbath to Sunday to be extra like Christianity. Most Messianic Jews are Torah observant but you'll end up an atheist, give up practising their religion, end up a Buddhist, become a member of a Unitarian Church and nonetheless be a Jew within the eyes of Reform/Reconstructionist Jews. Most Orthodox whilst requested approximately different Jews will say they do not know what non Orthodox Jews are. The identical applies to the opposite sects. Speaking of sects Jews will inform you there aren't any sects however its now not actual. Rabbinical Jews comply with an information in their religion that was once centered a million,900 years in the past. They have their possess canon of Scripture. There also are non Rabbinical Jews such because the Ethiopian Jews that follows the sample of the Christian Old Testament and they have got many further books that they don't forget to be scripture. A institution known as the Karaites is the reverse of the Ethiopian and simplest consider within the five Books of Moses. Rabbinical Jews name Karaites "a sect of Judaism". You can goggle it and spot for your self. Don't permit anybody inform you that there aren't any sects in Judaism. They say the the lessons of Jesus are very exclusive from Judaism. They additionally declare that Jesus taught not anything new from the rabbis earlier than him. Then they we inform you that there have been no rabbis till 100 years after the time of Jesus. Its all approximately successful the argument to them now not approximately what is actual. The crisis isn't variations however similarities. You must realize ALL the writers of the Christian Bible have been Jews however one. Much of our Scriptures are shared. The great majority of early believers in Jesus have been Jews. So while you listen the distinctive reverse you have to maintain that during brain. A Jew can consider in Jesus and nonetheless be a Jew. Edit: those who make private accusations must incorporate hyperlinks or close up.

Christians are told to stay far, far away from anything that might contradict the teachings of the church. They've got to cover their eyes and ears and such, sing la la la so they don't inadvertently hear something that might contradict their own beliefs.

I'm assuming they're told this because if they should happen to hear anything that contradicts Christianity (anything, for example, resembling logic and reason), they might just think twice about being so staunch in their beliefs...
