I recently saw a bed stand on tv that i cant find the name of.

It has large posts but the part im really trying to identify was the head board. It had fabric and buttons arranged in it. And it was padded. Is this victorian??

This would be classified as a tufted or upholstered headboard. The period or origin it is inspired by would depend on different things, like how ornate or how simple it is, how chunky or delicate it is, certain curves, kind of wood and stain, etc.

The bed frame is separate from the headboard in this case, and it sounds like a four poster bed.

You can check your furniture history websites and see what descriptions and examples match what you have in mind. Then if you are trying to find it for your own room, you should be able to catch the trail of a piece that you like, using that description.
