It is Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus. In other words, it is a staph infection that is resistant to Methicillin. It is highly contagious. It can be found on different parts of the body but gets extremely dangerous when it is found inside the body. When it gets inside the body, it goes "septic" and becomes very dangerous. I hope this helps.

this virus is no joke, it kills alot of the people that get it! i hope your friend is one of the lucky ones that will beat this, i suggest being there for them as much as possible, keep yourself safe too, this if a very contages form of staph infection! The hospitals dont' have much more strict regulations of isolation than with this virus! Like i said make these moments with your friend the best while they are still here, this is a killer. I hope your wrong and it was just staff not MRSA!

It's an antibiotic resistant staph infection and is contagious and very hard to treat.

yes, very... it's a super infection. it doesn't get killed by the usual antibiotics we take.. it's a morphed super staph species.. if she's been taking the antibiotics (vancomycin or stronger) for at least a few days you have nothing to worry about..

yes its very contagious and very very hard to get rid of.. people tend to get rid of it but then it keeps coming back.. my my friend has it and very time shes had a tooth pulled it comes out there in her face and eyes. you just about have to be given meds in the hospital with an IV.. if she in the hospital now she needs to have them give her something to clean the phone and tv controls and bed controls with a germ killer.. thats one of the worse places to catch that stuff. everyone is sick and using those items one right after another and touching there wound.. hope she gets well soon. good luck
