maybe you cant prove god exist but you cant prove he dont either. god is real and he does exist. the human body itself proves that. something that complex didnt just happen.

By you own assertion you are Christian not because Christianity is "the religion that makes the most sense", but because it is the one with the most comforting explanation.. You can't believe that life was a random occurence because you don't want too... it's too scary and unsure to admit you don't know! So you choose the religious story that best suits what YOU want to hear to comfort you and give you purpose, It tells you life came from "something" instead of nothing, that there is a plan and purpose, a "reason" for this life, and it gets better by telling you that you will be eternally rewarded with everlasting life with a being that "loves" you, but if you don't do as this being says you go to hell to be punished and tortured eternally.
How can I not believe in Jesus or God?? SImple, I prefer to admit I do not know how life started, and I don't know whether or not it even has a cause... I face my fear of the unknown and embrace it, I live THIS life to the fullest and best that I can, because I don't know if there is an afterlife.. I prefer to accept that there may not be a plan, or a reward or punishment, and that the only way I will find out is when I die.. So until then I live my life the best I can, and wait for the truth to be revealed at it's end. I am not going to waste this life living in a fantasy world of gods and sins and commandments, as slave to any religion... I will be free and good all my life without any fear of punishment by hellfire. I will be good for the sake of being good and not because I may be punished! Can you say the same? Can you face humanities fear of the unknown, embrace your ignorance and live a good life just for the sake of it and not a reward?? Ask yourself why you really believe what you believe, the truth is you believe what comforts you the most and what alleviates your fear of the unknown.. Christianity. It is I who cannot fathom such a contrived image through rose coloured glasses can be believed by normal individuals simply because of an inability to admit ignorance and accept the unknown.

How can someone be an atheist?
I do not understand how someone can not accept Jesus.
Beieving in a myth simply because you lack the understanding of other concepts is counter-productive...
Look at how complex the world is. How can life just form from NOTHING? It is ridiculous that this all happened "just cause". "Just cause"?
Attributing things you do not understand to mythical beings is bronze age mentality..
This is why I am a Christian. It is the religion that makes the most sense. Jesus has a plan for me. If I accept Him into my heart as my savior, I may avoid Hell. My sins and all the sin of everyone who believes in Jesus shall be wiped clean.
Yes you are christian because you lack understanding and fear the unknown... Thus attributing everything to a mythical deity in order to make yourself feel safe and secure in your lack of understanding...
Glad you cleared that up for me...

Easy, we're not gullible enough to believe that stuff.
Look at it this way:
Do you believe in Santa? If not then who makes all the toys? Isn't it ridiculous that they just made themselves and appeared under your tree...?
Obviously, no - Santa doesn't exist. There's no way a single man could get around the world in one night and deliver a complete a**load of toys that were made in his workshop, it's just not possible. And presents are bought and placed under the tree by parents and other friends/relatives.
Now that an explanation has been given for the alternative to Santa making/delivering them all, do you continue to believe in Santa or do you accept reality and give up such childish beliefs?
How exactly is this any different to belief in ANY apparently supernatural being? When it comes down to it, it's all dependant on how much of this you were fed as a child and how gullible OR uneducated on the facts you are. Basically, there is an explanation to what really happened, how everything is here and yet you continue to believe that the world was created, essentially, magically by a god who simply spoke to himself to create the entire universe and then when explaining how to his followers left out the order of creation and suggested several falsities about the universe (flat Earth, geocentric universe, the 'firmament' in the sky, etc) and told people to condemn the people he had created simply because he apparently purposefully let another of his creations (Satan) get out of hand.
Bleh.. I'm done for now. Tell me if that makes any sense to you what-so-ever.

Your explanation of your decision to be a Christian is Pascal's Wager. (Look it up.)
Your reasoning is based on a logical fallacy, namely, "argument from adverse consequences" --putting pressure on the decision maker by pointing out dire consequences of an "unfavourable" decision-- i.e., you'd rather not go to Biblehell.
This is not a coinflip. There are more than two absolute possibilities. Aside from the point already made here that the possibility of the actual existence of Jesus is a huge leap of faith, supported by no tangible evidence, there are MYRIAD other rational explanations.
People all over the world have had "spiritual" experiences that had nothing to do with Biblegod, Biblejesus or even Biblesatan. The collective consciousness of humanity transcends your puny religion.

Atheism does not assume that life came from nothing. Everything is the cause of natural forces.
I lack belief in deities. I can't use god as an emotional crutch when there is no evidence for god, except for people spouting hearsay that often reeks of violence or bigotry.
I want to study and confront reality, in every tiny and humongous morsel. Learning is my calling. We live in a universe that is 14 billion years old and larger than a human being can imagine, and I cannot shove it into a small creation myth or a religious book that says "do not question or face torture." Fearing hellfire and damnation when there is evidence for neither seems like the waste of a short, brilliant life.

"I do not understand how someone can not accept Jesus."
Easy, there's no objective, testable, verifiable evidence. Why don't you accept Hercules? There's just as much evidence for his existence as Jesus's.
"Look at how complex the world is. How can life just form from NOTHING? It is ridiculous that this all happened "just cause". "Just cause"?"
No, not "just 'cause." Maybe instead of dismissing abiogenesis out of hand, you could actually learn what it is, and what we know about it, instead of clinging so desperately to your 'alternative' non-explanation. After all, even if we were to reject all natural hypotheses, how do you know any of the thousands of other gods didn't do everything? How do you know ghosts didn't do it? How do you know aliens didn't do it? You don't. You make a stupid assumption because that's what you WANT to be true. Well, it's time to grow up--desire doesn't shape reality. Time to face reality on its own terms.
This is why I am a Christian."
So you're a Christian because of a logical fallacy. REALLY convincing, lol. Way to embrace ignorance there.

How come you accept Jesus and not the Prophet Muhammed or Allah? How come you don't accept Lord Vishnu. Come on man I think deep down you really know the answers to your own questions. The idea of Creation is based on opinion. There are countless opinions from many different cultures on Creation. Look into Greek and Egyptian Creation myths or Aztec myths. Christianity is no different. Ask yourself this. Did the Greeks think they were worshipping myths? or did they think zeus was real. Answering that Question might help you

You don't understand how somebody can not accept Jesus? Really, well asshole, it's not just atheist, it's Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhist, Pagans, Satanist, Atheist, Agnostics, Spiritualist, Tribal Religious people, Taoist ect. ect. who all do not accept Jesus. As an Atheist, I have studied many religions, and sorry, but Christianity doesn't make the most sense to me. Glad it does to you, but to most people on earth, it doesn't.

Well how can YOU not accept my pagan gods and goddesses? HOW??????? This is why I'm pagan, because it makes the most sense to me. So why aren't you pagan too? Are you delusional?
[/sarcasm]
Just because you believe something does not give you the right to shove your own dogmas down other peoples' throats.
Atheists don't claim to have all the answers- they aren't that arrogant. Why is it so important that everyone believes the same thing you do?

Argument from Incredulity and God of the Gaps... how clever. *drinks*
We're all born atheist. Theism is taught/indoctrinated.
Jesus probably didn't exist.
Why do you believe the only choices are nothing or God? What's the cause of God then? And you should look more into abiogenesis without completely dismissing it.
Christianity is extremely contradictory and holds zero evidence.
Sin doesn't exist. Hell doesn't exist. You are delusional.
