look in the owners manual it will give you the exact weight that should be run in it,most of the time they recommend using 5-w-30 ,but you can use a 10-w-30 in it,its just a little thicker oil that's all,but look in the book to be sure, its best to go by what they say to run in it,good luck with it.

you probably did not state your engine length, yet my wifes van is a three.3L V6, and it takes a 5W30 oil. you should use a man made, a mixture, (like Valvoline durablend) or a trouble-free base oil.

5w30
in the summer switch to 10w30.
when you hit 80,000 miles, stay with 10w30.
If your car uses oil, like 1 quart in say 5000 miles, switch up to 10w40.
If you're going to go cross country, use 10w40.
NEVER use 20w50 in that motor, it won't flow very well.
when you're over 130,000, switch up to 10w40.
if you use Synthetic, stay with 5w30 for the duration.
