I'm a caffeine junkie myself and lately that hasn't been enough to get me through some of the longer shifts I work. I've popped about 3 of the Rock Stars in the past month and even though I can't explain why they're bad for you, I just know they are. I tried cocaine a few times many years ago (won't do it again) and it had no effect on me. This stuff did, in a very surreptitious way. Took me four hours to come down. If you can keep your intake down and to a bare minimum, only when you really need the boost, you should be okay. But I wonder about that stuff myself. Scary.

Is soda pop bad for you? If your answer to that question is yes, then energy drinks are at least as bad. The worst part of them though probably isn't the extra "energy" crap. It's the high fructose corn syrup. We'll probably see that form of sugar become illegal in our lifetimes.

But the real answer to your question is YES and the other real answer to your question is NO. Everything is bad for you in excess. And very few things are truly bad for you in moderation. One energy drink here and there isn't going to kill you. 20 a day probably will.

Intead of investing money everyday on energy drinks, instead purchase a bottle of acetyl l'carnitine and a b- complex vitamins. Take about 1-2000 mg of the acetyl l'carnitine. You will be so alert and energetic, you won't know what happened to you. Plus it is good for you. Taking lots of caffeine with added sugar everyday is not good for you, plus your body builds up a tolerance and it will take more and more everyday to get you up, then later you will crash from all the sugar.

They're not going to kill you. But many of these increasingly popular drinks contain significant amounts of caffeine, which can make you jittery and cause insomnia, as well as loads of sugar, which nobody needs. Worse, these drinks are often marketed to kids and teenagers, many of whom already struggle with their weight and don't need to add a caffeine addiction.Caffeine can increase anxiety, panic, some stomach problems, and some cardiac arrhythmias..

I would say forget about what these paranoid idiots tell you about what’s good for you and what’s bad for you. If read bad house keeping magazine, or the paranoid TIMES or that type of trash then you end up in a insane asylum in no time at all.
I can tell you this for sure. Having a good time and feeling good about yourself are the best remedies for a better quality of life.

I don't think they are good fro you but one or two a day (in moderation) are OK.A few months ago a guy in his 20's drank more then the recommended amount and died of a heart attack so I would be weary of the drinks!

Energy drinks and regular activity = rapid heartbeat.

Rapid heartbeat = high blood pressure.

High blood pressure + rapid heartbeat can lead to a collapsed ventrical, exploded veins, and a blown out heart.

Does that sound good to you?
