Why are so many people Christian, Muslim, or Jewish? I have respect for those religions, but why are only a small part of the world's population Pastafarian?

Does the Anti-Pasta lead people into forming other religions? This is a serious question. The only way to avoid being dunked in boiling pasta sauce for all eternity is to be a Pastafarian.

Logically, I think it may make sense for the Anti-Pasta to inspire people to form other religions.

Was Christianity inspired by the Anti-Pasta?

What about Judaism?

;)

You dislike Christians and that you are atheist.
You've mocked us in the past.
Do you REALLY respect any religion or faith?

If you truly did, you wouldn't be tellling us to believe in a joke.
If you had any respect at all, you wouldn't tell Christians to post their questions about God in the joke section, as you told Saved By Grace.
Your telling him that is proof that you have no respect for Christianity or Christians.
You don't have respect, even though you said you did.

You know that Christianity was not "inspired by the Anti-Pasta."
Neither was Judaism.

This is not a serious question. You know it.

Here is my answer:
Only a small portion of the world is Pastafarian because the whole thing is just a joke.
Most people are mature and are serious about their faith.

Praise be to His Noodly Goodness! I don't understand it either; if people would just open their hearts and minds to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, surely they would see the Truth!

Ramen!

Edit: I see from your variety of other answers that many poor lost souls would rather put their faith in an old bearded guy sitting up in the clouds who smites entire cities just because he feels like it than in the Wise and Benevolent FSM. Apparently it is easier for them to believe that one man and his family crammed two of every species of animal (and plant?) into a big boat for forty days while the entire world was flooded than to believe in the simple, straightforward creation of mountains and midgets.

They deride His Noodly Goodness and claim that his existence is a joke, when their own beliefs are utterly laughable! --Or would be, if some of their supposedly benevolent God's actions weren't so horrifying!

Hopefully they will in time be touched by His Noodly Appendage.

I just can't put any real faith into a wet noodle. At their worst they're gummy and bland--and at their best.....well there is no best to them without some good sauce. If the FSM can't stand alone on it's own merits, it's not for me. :))

EDIT: Pork Chops!------The FSM religion encourages eating pork, right? You must be a truly dedicated and brave follower! hehehe ;))

PRIDE is what is boils down to. They simply refuse to yield their egotistical wills to a POWER greater than themselves.

Oh great and mighty FSM, have mercy on their foolish, stubborn souls.

Amen

Because Richard Dawkins exists. Thus diverting all potential FSM followers to himself.

Optimus Prime would eat the FSM for lunch. No pun intended.

The FSM doesn't pretend to go around saving dead people. He expects a little deeper level of thought than that from those who espouse him.
