The Catholic Church once had in their Dogma that the earth was flat and proceeded to Persecute Galileo. They also called Africans Brute Beasts without Souls fit for the Hard labours of the New World and Never apologized for Slavery in the Americas, giving Catholic Queen Isabella of Spain the authority to enslave them... Are those Statements True as well? Were the Inquisitions right? They also had one Pope by the name of Joan and changed the ministry to be all male..
Let The Bible Speak for itself...It Is a Sexual Addiction! No other Book can outweigh or Supercede it and Call themselves Christian. People Choose to Sin or Repent. They can't Pick and Choose which Biblical Truths to follow either! It is a choice, otherwise what you are saying is that they Do not Accept any of the Old or New Testaments making It a Cult...It is a Choice According to Scripture and If I were You I would Run! You have a Choice to Repent and be saved. god would not create Male and Female and then call it Sin when the same sexes choose to do what they want to.
Does the Pope wear those three Six's in his Hat, sash and ring? Revelation 13: 18, Daniel 11:37, Revelation 22. Matthew 5:27-28, Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1, 1st Corinthians 10:13, 2nd Peter 3, James 1:12, James 4:17, Hebrews 8:12, Hebrews4:16, 1st Corinthians 6:9-13, 1st Corinthians 10:13. No wonder there is so much confussion! That about Covers All of the New Testament! Your Article 2358 is Saying they Know more than God Himself!
By the way, Nambla was Started by Two Catholic Priests...Thanks for the Thumbs Down, That is exactly how the Roman persecuters of Christians behaved! The Truth hurts doesn't it?

Personally I don't think the argument about whether it's a choice is even that relevant (for the record, though, since everybody who's gay says it's NOT a choice, I sort of think, well, they ought to know, right?).
Regardless of whether it's genetic or a choice or whatever, it doesn't hurt anybody so people ought to be free to do what they want to do, regardless of what some group of bible-toting hyper-fundamentalist morons want to say about it. If they think being gay's a sin then fine, they don't have to be gay. Just leave the rest of humanity alone, take your stupid holy book and shove it up your @$$. I don't care what it or anybody else says.
Edit: Oh, there I've gone and done, it; I read some of your other answers. I always get fuming when I do that...

I'd say it's not really a choice. I don't think it is genetic either. I think its the condition in the womb prenatally that sets up our sexual preference. There is some evidence of this with mice whose sexual preference can be determined postnatally by whether the infant anus is stimulated right after birth (normally a mother uses odor to determine whether they lick the infants anus) . I think with humans the enviromental factor just happens before birth instead of after birth.
With that said, it I don't think it matters as much as Christians claim it does whether it is a choice or not. If you accept homosexuality as normal, there becomes no need to change it and you just let it be. Otherwise, regardless of why homosexuality exists, people would find a way to remove it from society if they don't learn tolerance.

We obviously choose who to be with. But we do not choose who we WANT to be with. That's a BIG distinction that the detractors so casually ignore, the difference between engaging in a homosexual act and being a homosexual.

Because I'm not gay and am not especially close to anyone who is, I can't say from personal experience. The only foundational truth is God's word that says that homosexuality is a sin. So, if God created us (which He did), why would he make us gay and then say it's a sin? I do believe it's a choice, otherwise, God wouldn't call it a sin. It's just another result of the sin that entered man in the Garden of Eden, and it can be overcome. I have a friend who was gay before he came to know Christ and now, he's a strong (and straight) believer!

Just like any other sin, we choose to participate in it. We were created to multiply - we just happen to enjoy it more than other species. From birth we are driven by desires not acceptable to society (sin). We choose to do it or not do it.
Yeah, didn't see that "article" in the Bible.
I love y'all, but it's a choice. You can choose not to be homosexual male just as a woman can choose not to be a harlot. The burning desire is there, but it's a choice. To indulge or not to indulge. There are consequences on both roads. You choose which you will deal with or complain about.

It's not so much about choice as it is about freedom. Religious superstitions should have no bearing on the way normal people choose (or are born) to live. I'm not pinning my freedom on some gene. I have every right to live as I choose. If Christians can spend their lives "loving" some invisible being, I should get to love the person I choose.

I'm as positive as I can be without knowing what it's like to be gay. I don't think it's a choice. Actually, there is research going on right now, and some of it may even be genetics.
I'm sorry you get harassed, if the Bible only said, "Be nice to everyone else no matter what they believe and you go to heaven," instead of what it does now, the world would be a better place. "God" had the power to make the world much better than it is, but instead he filled "his book" with things about gay people going to hell and such.

Of course it is not a chosen life style! And anyone who says it is, is most definitely delusional! It is something Gays are born as! It is genetic! Please don;t let others (straight people) put you down, and make you feel bad!
I have never heard straight people ask permission to be who they are, sexually! So, do not let them tell you, what you can do sexually! It is no one;s business but yours!
Be proud of who you are, always!
Peace!
