So there is this boy and we are going out on a first date this weekend. He and I have been talking for about a month and we met at a friends party. Well tonight we are talking and he kept sending me smiley faces and I would send him some back and I told him "I think you win" and his reply was...

Ok...still luv ya

Now is there a difference between him saying love and luv? I bearly know him and he bearly knows me.

I am not in the L word with him...not yet at least.

some people toss around the word "love" and it's basically meaningless.
the word "luv" is even more casual. i wouldn't take it seriously if i were you.
people "luv" n.y. or a sports team or a pair of shoes..
"luv ya" is about equal to saying "see ya".
so i wouldn't worry about it.

dont worry, it just came out of his mouth. sometimes it happens or when you are too attracted to someone thn it also comes out. dont panic, nothing is wrong, although he has to be careful.
